Once again, we are proud to announce that our very own Theile McVey has been named to the Super Lawyers’ list in South Carolina this year. Theile has been on this esteemed list since 2013, proving that her service in the legal field is as excellent as ever.
Super Lawyers is a service that rates US attorneys in more than 70 practice areas. This rating service publishes an annual list of outstanding lawyers from each state, and this list is an awaited feature in leading magazines across the country as well as in accredited law school libraries.
The choosing of Super Lawyers emphasizes the lawyers’ professional record and peer recognition. The selection process is done in three stages. First, attorneys are nominated by their peers or identified by the Super Lawyers research team. Super Lawyers then conducts research into each nominee, looking into factors such as their verdicts and settlements, other honors, and community service.
The candidates with the highest points then go through peer evaluation, conducted by a Blue Ribbon Panel of the Super Lawyers service. This panel picks only the top five percent of the candidates as the final selection of Super Lawyers for the year.
Theile McVey is included again this year as one of the top personal injury plaintiff lawyers in South Carolina. This impressive achievement is a result of her work at Kassel McVey Law Firm, where she represents only plaintiffs in personal injury cases. Her focus is on vehicle accidents, product liability, premises liability, nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, and mesothelioma cases.
Theile’s service has produced highly successful results such as a $38-million verdict in a mesothelioma case and another at $14 million.
Her inclusion in Super Lawyers 2018 is just one of many achievements she’s already had this year. She was also named among the Midlands Legal Elite in Personal Injury 2018 and elected a member of the prestigious International Society of Barristers.
